UV PROTECTION Bormioli Luigi is innovating in order to accompany new-generation fragrance and skincare products with natural formulas that are more fragile when exposed to light. Bormioli’s UV PROTECTION process is available in two neutral, colorless solutions: these processes respect the glass’s transparency, giving freedom to product design. BY COATING This solution consists in depositing a colorless film on the whole surface of the jar or bottle like a lacquer charged with filtering pigments. Particularly flexible, this technology is suitable for short series and fast developments. IN THE GLASS With this technology, the anti-UV filter pigment is incorporated into the glass itself in the feeder. This solution is suitable for longer runs. The glass thus treated in the fusion phase is ready for decoration. Filtration capacity has been validated by a Sun Test: this simulates exposure to sunlight at midday, reproduced for 24 or 48 hours, and is equivalent to 3 years’ worth of natural exposure. The juices and formulas remain 100% intact. |
